VIP High Tea with Forever New

Last week I was invited to the VIP High Tea by Forever New. It was an evening of fun and fashion to showcase their latest collections La Boheme and Mono-Pop. A fabulous spread  of delectable goodies by Smoke House Deli awaited us as we entered and I couldn't help but indulge on those yummy cake pops!

I had a great time browsing through their gorgeous collection and being styled by their in-house stylists Malika and Manshi! Malika chose this gorgeous Polka dress for me which I absolutely adored! It was flowy and feminine and so quintessentially Forever New.

The mouth-watering display of what we were treated to!

The La Boheme Collection was another mouth-watering display of a whole different kind!
The collection is all about classic feminine shapes in luxurious fabrications with a modern twist. Heavy duchess satins, billowing silk crepes, fluffy mohairs, beautiful boucle’s create pretty wintery textures complimented by watery floral prints. Billowing blouses in soft sheer are worn with drapey viscose drape pants while oversized cocoon coats wrap around neat, structured shift dresses. Soft ruffles cascade over pretty maxi dresses and skirts are full and structured. Knitwear is soft and fluffy with high necks and long-line silhouettes.

Here are my top 3 picks from this line. The blue two-piece dress being next on my wishlist!

We were also treated to a luxurious Nail Spa session there. I chose a fun Blue Maybelline Color Show shade with pops of yellow. A great nail color if your want to DIY nail art at home but are a beginner at it. It gives almost a sequin-ish effect on you nails. This particular shade is called a Blue Bombshell.

All Black Like a Cat

You will rarely see an all black look on me. Although, I love the colour in bits and pieces. Unless it is a dress, I have never done an all black look. And never ever during the day. But black was the theme of the day for the Instagram style challenge I was doing this month. So, black it was. However, I couldn't resist jazzing it up a bit with some accessories here and there. It was just all getting too dark for me. And dark I am not.

I like to think of myself as a positive person. Even when my mood is grey ( or black), I tend to gravitate towards happier colours instead of darker ones.Like, did you know that singing can improve your mood if you are depressed. It can. I've tried it. But maybe that's just me. So the next time you're low, hum a happy little song and let me know if it makes a difference.
