How to Reuse your Bridesmaid Dress with Weddington Way

When I got the oppurtunity to restyle a bridesmaid dress for a summer date night,I was totally in.Date nights and Wedding fashion being two of my most favorite things in the world!
They sent me some images to pick from and I just fell in love with this blue beauty.I decided to take in use the dreamy color of the dress and create a pastel look perfect for the summer.I balanced the solid color of the dress with printed floral shoes and metallic jewelry.

If you have a wedding coming up,be sure to check out their amazing range of dresses here and
I hope this gave you some ideas on how to restyle your bridesmaid dress!
Do let me know how you have reinvented your bridesmaid style!

Indian Kitsch with Manish Arora

I am sure y'all must have noted the sudden influx of a lot of Indian Wear on my blog. One of the perks of being married means you have double the occasions to dress up in all your beautiful ethnic clothes that you would have never had the chance to wear otherwise.

I wore this outfit to an engagement party in the morning. The vibrant colors and beautiful embroidery portrays what my style quintessentially is.And,even though it looks heavy,it is super-light to wear which is always a plus in the Indian weather. If you ever do get the chance, definitely pop into Indian by Manish Arora for some for stunning, colorful and quite affordable Indian Wear.

The Bridal Files : Wedding

Your wedding day is the one day when you truly feel like a queen and look like one too.I used to brush away the 'moment when you just know' about your bridal trousseau but the moment I put on this lehenga I knew it was 'The One',And then, just like that you know that you are done looking.I hope the pictures have managed to capture a little bit of the magic and joy that the day had for me.

Almost hard to believe that I've reached at the end of The Bridal Files. It has been a special journey which I have loved sharing with all of you.I just came back from our first anniversary and new years trip last week and it still seems as new as the first day of marriage (minus the formalities,Thank God!).So,lets not think of this as the end of my Bridal Journey but the beginning of my Happily Ever After!

The Bridal Files : Cocktail Party

The third function we had was a cocktail reception in the lawns of RCGC, Kolkata. It was a magical musical evening with perfect weather and starry skies.I had bought this dress from Gaurav Gupta during my trousseau shopping trip to Delhi and it was love at first sight. It was Indian but not too Indian which is exactly what I wanted for the event and the colour was a beautiful shade of Pink.
It fit me perfectly and didn't even require any alterations! (which is rare when it comes to me and Indianwear). Everyone needs a fairy tale and it felt like this was mine.I have a feeling it's going to stay with me for a long, long time. :)

The Bridal Files : Mehendi

The next morning of the Youngsters Party,We had the Mehendi Function. The theme of the Mehendi was Rajasthani Kitsch.I wanted it to be a really fun event with lots of dancing and filled with the colours of my heritage.I had made matching leheriya outfits for all the women of my family and had a really fun photo booth, complete with a jazzed-up scooter!

We used a lot of DIY for this event and I love how it all turned out. I had made my lehenga infact before I had decided on the theme of the event but somehow it all worked out together!Even the Potlis for the favours were done by my in-house brand and are still available for sale in a modified version!

We handed out these potlis with Rajasthani Doll Hangings as Mehendi Favours.

The Kitschy Scooter!
